Finally some Good News!

It looks like my leak is healed!! I had surgery on 12/24, but since I haven't eaten in 3 months, I assume I will start back up like I am a new post-op surgery. I will have to wait to hear from my surgeon and dietitian for more details. I am just still in shock right now. In all honesty, I have no desire to eat at all...that is pretty scary and kinda worries me. I will just take it slow and hope for the best!!

Many thanks to all the people who having been praying for me. I really appreciate your concern. =)

Stacie, seriously I couldn't be more happy for you to have this behind you. I know what it is like to not want to eat, but it does get better. Things tasted so "off" for so long for me that I thought I was doomed to food not ever tasting good again. It was short lived, and things are so much better now.

Slow and easy, and you'll do great. Take care of yourself, and please keep us posted. I'm so elated that the leak has healed, and you are fully on your way to great post-op life.

congratulations!

Stacie I too am so glad to know your going to be able to get back on track and progress in your WL journey. I don't need to tell you (but I will) to remember to take it slow and have patience with your nutrient intake. It may be a bit tedious during the liquid phase but before you know it you will be enjoying many foods only in small amounts.

I am soooooooo happy for you. What did that staple wind up being that was in your drain tube, I didn't see another message about it.

But seriously girl, I am so happy for you.

Stacie, what fantastic news. Thanks so much for keeping us posted. Best wishes for a continued recovery.

So glad to hear that everything is going to be ok...I commend you for your strength! Good luck!

That's great news! I hope your weight loss journey is much smoother from here on out. Maybe now you can actually begin to enjoy losing weight. Please keep us up to date.
