Leaking incision

I am a month post op and everything has been going well. A little scab on my incision fell off after my shower yesterday and now this serous fluid is draining from my incision. Should i be concerned? I think I will give my surgeon a shout today but just thought I would post it here too.

unless it smells or anything it should be ok i had one and it took a minute to heal my doctor assure me it was not infected that it just happens sometimes but it doesnt hurt to call your doctor to make sure.

nikki

Mine did that too. I didn't worry about it. they all healed up fine.

I had one that was leaking before I ever left the hospital. It took the longest to heal, and for a while it was quite gross (yellow goo). I called the doc and they said not to worry unless it became hot and produced more stuff. It eventually healed, but man it was a pain in the arse!

Speaking of incisions...mine are all still very reddish looking. Will that eventually fade? I hate looking at them, and I doubt I'll ever wear a bikini or anything, but they are so distracting when I look in the mirror.
