Soreness

I'm 12 days post surgery and am still sore. I was on the liquid only for two weeks and have started pureed foods; mashed potatoes, applesauce, cottage cheese. I find I am still sore and wonder if that's normal. Mostly when I roll over in bed or bend over.

I'm having the same soreness after 10 days...I think it is normal.

I ask my doctor how would I know if I'm leaking...

He said if I didn't feel a tiny bit better each day, then report it to him and he would check. That's just a cautionary avenue.

I think it's normal, too. I'm 11 days post-op and having the same. I find that getting some activity seems to help... like taking a walk, or just getting up and moving about the house (doing light chores, etc.). Hang in there, and if it really concerns you, call your doc on Monday. They can let you know if there's anything else you can do. Hope it passes soon for you, though.
