OK I've had lap band since march 14 2013 and I've lost about 70 lbs and I just recently the past 2 week have this really bad viral cold and I'm constantly cough in and now my stomach hurts where my lap band is. Should I worry

if you are worried or concerned, please call your doctor

and let them advise you....if need be, go in and have then check you and the band itself out under fluro to ease your mind....congrats on the weight loss btw...great job.

Hi Ashley,

I also have been coughing my brains out recently with a band upper resp. infection. You should definitely go see the Dr. b/c I was told it's possible to cough so hard you can actually break ribs!

That didn't happen for me..but I was/am sore a bit from the constant coughing, the band and port is all good..just using those cough muscles too much :)

I hope your feeling better soon!

The same is happening to me I was up all last night coughing hard and my stomach is hurting

So l am worried but I go see the Dr in a couple of days for my first fill so we shall see
