I was banded on the second and I usually stop before even a half a cup of food. The mushy stage has been odd for me though, and I'm finding myself really not enjoying that much. I'm trying really, really hard to not drink 30 mins. before and 1 hour after meals, but it's sooooo hard. These last couple of times I managed to wait though. :)

My doctor said a half hour before our half hour after... I was banded a week ago today and I'm having problems getting my water in cause I'm so full after a cup of food the last thing I'm thinking about is consuming liquids. I definitely need to drink more water. I don't need any kidney stones making things worse!

Good Luck! the best advice I have for you after surgery is to get a heating pad and walk, walk, walk to move that gas out.

Me too I can't eat as much but I can eat ! I tend to get super hungry and wolf it down .

Me too...I am trying so hard not to eat to fast but since the food seems to go down easily I wind up eating faster than I should.

The gas in my left belly looks like I am pregnant

I worried about that too. I was dehydrated the whole first week, but finally I was able to drink more. I hope nothing bad happened, but I'm feeling fine now, I think. :)

Burping and Coughing really are getting to me today! I know that this is post op day 1 but I had 3v good burps today that made me want to curl up in a ball.

I totally know the feeling but it will pass. I was banded last Friday and today is the first time that I don't feel crazy gassiness. Hang in there sista :)

Did you have pain in between your shoulder blades,or neck. My sides are what hurts when I burp.

Yes i did! Take a little walk! It helps! I know you probably keep reading that but it's true.

I was banded on the 9th and about a week after the surgery the pain seemed to dissipate but I ended up getting a bladder infection that kept the pain going. The gas pain last several days and will go away. Best wishes and good luck to October bandsters!
