SICK less than 48 before surgery! !

So I've got this allergy junk going on. Stuffy nose and scratchy throat but no fever. My surgery is Tuesday morning. Will they still do it with the symptoms!?!

    call and tell your doctor and let them advise you as they'd would know and need to know if you dont feel well. keeping fingers crossed that is goes well for you

    Always consult w/ the surgeon first. Nothing worse than showing up and them declining you. Perhaps he can recommend some meds to help you along. You do not want to go into surgery with a compromise

As long as u are afebrile and do not have infection u should be fine. Push the fluids and get plenty of rest. Goodluck!!!!

Always consult w/ the surgeon first. Nothing worse than showing up and them declining you. Perhaps he can recommend some meds to help you along. You do not want to go into surgery with a compromised immune system and only your doc will determine if you are in good enough health for surgery

good but you might take some allergy meds and see how you feel as well as call the doctor it might just be something in the air..worth a try

I let them know I wasn't feeling well, but since I didn't have a fever, they gave me something to control my coughs and proceeded with the surgery. Want to hear something funny? After the surgery, my symptoms were gone. Ha!
