Incisions draining

Sooo I am 3 days post op and was able to remove top layer of bandaging, but have to leave the steri strips- I notice on some of my incisions I'm having some drainage, and its still going- I don't have a fever and they don't hurt worse than normal, was just wondering how many days of drainage is excessive?

you need to call your surgeon I am a nurse and it is probably nothing but they know you and know what is going on and it is best on this to get your answer from your surgeon or the nurse in his office. some things they should have taught you (and probably did) are looking for redness, swelling(you will have some just post op if you are like me) and fever (you mentioned this already) but a constantly draining wound is something you need to discuss with them. if they don't hear from you, they think everything is okay! congrats on your procedure!
