I was up a few pounds for two weeks until my swelling went down. Each persons body has a different reaction to the surgery some people lose 10 pounds week 1 others swell and gain 5. Unless you are drinking gravy and fat I doubt you've gained weight if you are drinking liquids during this time.

It'll go away when the swelling goes away. Dont get discouraged.

i understand just what you are saying..i had surgery on the 30th of july. i have been walking and taking in as much protein that i can and eating small healthy meals...and I'm up 4lbs....i don't understand....

Put the scale away. I know it's hard but quit worrying about your weight. You are healing right now, focus on your new way of eating, slowly with small bits... There will be plenty of time for the scale, but right now it will only frustrate you.

I feel the same way had my surgery on 8/7 and thought the lbs would just start coming I'm up 3 lbs since I started the shakes again and now I. Scared to eat anything cause I think I'm going to gain all the weight back

Its common to gain weight the first month post surgery, ESP if you were on a liquid preop diet. you have time to lose once you are healed...focus on healing and not on the scale.
