means you very swollen inside and you are not sipping slowly (to drink too much or too fast) so soon after surgery, will cause pain..so dont do it....baby sips all day long..if it continues to hurt, call your doctor's office and let them know.

i sipped crystal light and protein shakes/broth....i was all liquids for 2 weeks

You may be having some pain from the gas that is used during the operation. Try to move around and walk it out. Drink slowly, baby sips use a medicine cup to measure out the sips you are taking to force yourself to drink more slowly.

Warm liquids like decaf tea are also very helpful in the beginning as well as frozen ice pops which. They help get the fluids in as well as help the internal swelling feel a bit better.

Feel better!

They gave you pain meds' date=' right? I needed the meds for the first four days.[/quote']

Me too Guy, they gave me injections for pain in the hospital and a prescription for pain when I was discharged. In fact they had a concierge from Walgreens who had my prescription filled before I was even discharged. This way I'd have no excuse to not have pain medicine by the time I got home. I was very blessed to have a surgeon who was concerned enough that I not be in a lot of pain.
