I made really bad choices

Yesterday I made bad choices most of the day. I ate to much for dinner. Had a really bad snack an hour before bed and choose junk 3 separate times during my day. I woke up this morning feeling like crap yet again. Why do I keep doing this to myself.

Today is a new day and I am going to try to have a better day then yesterday. I'm down in the dumps.

You are right. Today and tomorrow. Not yesterday

Best wishes to a new day!

Can I make a suggestion? I've seen via your posts, that you are struggling with your weight and getting back on track, etc. You have been doing well and then yesterday, seemed to once again sabotage yourself. Would you consider seeing a professional to try to get to the heart of why you are struggling so much? We all have issues with food. It's why we got to where we are. Maybe you can find out why your behaviors trip you up. If you can get this under control, the weight struggle would either cease, or at least become manageable. Anyway, just a suggestion. If that's not going to work for you, let us help you as much as we can by supporting you.

Yesterday is just that. It's the past. Today is a new day so try and think of tomorrow as a gift. Everyone backslides so don't worry. It's the destination you need to keep in mind, not the little stumbling blocks along the way. Maybe a tiny fill would be the ticket. GOOD LUCK!

It happens. Move on and enjoy your day! :)

Even people that are not overweight have days when they don't make the best food choices. My sister has been thin her whole life, she also a devoted runner. She eats healthy most of the time but does allow splurges every once and a while. I know I am going to also struggle and have a splurge and I am trying not to beat myself up over it when it happens. My struggle like you is getting myself back on track when I "slip up". I am going to start to try and not think of these as slip ups any more, we are human beings and will have an occasional off day from our nutrition and excerise. What I am batteling is to not let one day of bad choices turn into months, weeks, years, of eating like I am never going to see a piece of fried chicken or cake again. God gave me this wonderful body and I am doing my best to care for it and make myself healthy and strong. It is not easy but with his grace and support from each other we can do it!

AMEN!!!! Don't we all do that? 'Since I ate crap today what's "one more" day gonna hurt?' ....and then the next...then the next.... Is it human nature? Or just bad habits that's so natural to us big people?

I copied a quote today from a completely unrelated sight that I'm gonna put up somewhere in my bathroom cuz I think it pertains to this and all things in our lives....

Stop trying to hold onto the past. – You can’t start the next chapter of your life if you keep re-reading your last.

We gotta stop beating ourselves up for things in the past! Forgive ourselves and move on!! Good luck nailpro I'm starting all over with u.

That copied funny.

I had a really good day today. Burned lots of calories swimming and went over my calorie count but had better choices. Thank you all for your support.
