My doc said to avoid fruits in the first 4 weeks after surgery and then after I can have berries. I know fruit can be high in sugar I get why only berries but why can't I have berries now? I'm dying for a smoothie from tropical smoothie and I can add weigh and get sugar free. I can't stand these protein shakes anymore and while I can eat mushie foods I just really want something refreshing like that. I'm 7 days post op.
