new bander bev

hi, im new here. i was just banded on july 16th 2013. had one dr. appt. so far. dr. shumacher in kettering ohio. i lost 8 lbs. the 1st two weeks, was happy about that. i get my first fill on mon, aug 12th. i really am eating too much right now. i am such a food addict. i need willpower , i am off work til the 14th of aug. i hope that helps cos all this time at home is drivin me nuts. i think about food so much. i hope and pray the fill will help. i really think my brain is what should have been operated on! why can they not just stick a microchip or something in there that makes me only like salmon and bean sprouts? anyway, wish me luck on this journey. i need that and a few prayers too.

But I love salmon, hold the bean sprouts please! LOL es I will be happy to pray for you, one thing that always works!

It is such a journey going through this. 5 years later I am still a food addict but never regret getting my band! It has helped me so much. Even though I am not at goal yet I have lost almost 80 lbs and kept it off for over 3 years I would never have been able to do that on my own. You will succeed if you set your mind to it! The first few months after the band were the hardest for me but once you find that sweet spot and have good restriction it gets much easier, hang in there it gets easier!
