Most surgeons wait 4-6 weeks after surgery. I had my surgery June 20th and will not be getting a fill until August 14th. (approx 2mo after surgery) but mine is because of complications. Even if you can physically eat more than you think ...dont. Measure your food to 1 cup max. Eat if you get hungry eat again. You do want to mentally get your brain used to seeing these portions. Also if you have plication you can do damage to your stomach by eating more. Like you I am hungry and have no fill but its what you gotta do. Im supposed to stick to 1,000 calories, but im not there is no way.....but portion control is something you can do to prevent damage. I am steady losing 2 pds a week doing this. I wish you luck and hope you can make it to your fill with weight loss and minimal problems. Hunger sucks :(

I agree I am on week 3 and I am starting to feel a lot more hungry I am going to start really measuring n stick to on cup I have my 6wk check up on the 26th they said the surgeon will decode then if they will give me a full that day. Stick with if we can do this!

Thank you ;)

I was banded July 22. Today seen my surgeon for the 2 week check up. He said I'd gain few pounds before my first fill an that was ok. I get my fill in 3 weeks. Would had been 2 weeks but he is gonna be out of town. E told me it take a few fills to her where I need to be. He also has a band so that helps. He understands what we go threw.
