This is my first surgery too. That is why I am nervous. I know I can do it though. All they keep on telling me is walk so that you heal faster.

Good luck to all of you! Wishing you a joyous journey along the way. You'll be in recovery faster than you know and you'll wonder why was I so scared!

My surgery date is August 15, getting nervous/anxious/excited all at the same time!!

Mine is the 9th and it does seem unreal. I have only dreamed of doing this and I am so ready!

I am 2 days post op and sore but feeling good. All I can say is walk and take your gas x.

I'm also having surgery August 15th. Scared & excited!

Banded July 10. Hands down the best decision I made. Also my first major surgery. To all the preops get your mushies and liquids in advance. Wear something comfortable to surgery, take your gas meds.

Thank you Tiger1998, for the advice! So HAPPY to hear it was the best decision you made ; ) I need all the advice, I can get ; ) Do you drink protein shakes? If so, what brand & where did you buy them at?

I drink AdvantEdge Shakes. You can get them at most major chain grocery stores. I buy mine from Wal-Mart. Feel free to ask me anything. I will answer as best I can. I have done a lot of hilarious stuff since surgery and I keep a blog about all my experiences.

Thank you! Is your blog on this app? I would love to read your blog. This is my first time on this application.

I have been drinking the Slimfast low carb 20 grams of protein shakes. But they only have chocolate and vanilla. I have been eating yogurt and jello. I am not even hungry that us what scares me because they want me to eat 60 grams if protein but it is hard right now. Be sure you do not over do the walking after surgery I was in a lot if pain today because of it.
