I kinda just had to prepare myself for them. Stop way I was doing and bend a little. It helped. Lol. Mine was a hiccup/burp combo and I felt them coming ahead of time. I still do them to this day, but not painful anymore. I feel for you. I have a high pain tolerance but that was the worst part of my healing.
