I have my first fill tomorrow and just wondered what I should expect? Will I need to take the rest of the day off of work? Will it hurt? Any advice, please!!!

Thanks,

My experience with fills is that they are quick and relatively painless. While getting a needle in the stomach area sounds terrible it's actually one of the best places to get a shot because it's just a little pinch. You won't need to take the rest of the day off but I'd recommend doing liquids immediately after the fill and then slowly introduce mushies and then regular food. Each fill is different but sometimes it can cause you to have to assess how you eat differently now. Take it slow and don't overdo it. Good luck!

I had my first feel about 2 weeks ago and it was not bad at all. I barely felt it. No pain afterwards either. I went right back to doing normal activities after my appt. He had me gradually introduce solids again, 2 days clear liquids, 2 days full liquids, 2 days mushy foods, then back to solids. I got 3cc's in a 14cc band. He said it would be the biggest fill I would get.
