I go to the gym five days a week and do the treadmill for 45 minutes or I do the elliptical for 15 minutes and the treadmill for 30. Recently I've started adding in weights and do 20 minutes of upper or lower body work after 30 minutes of cardio. Today, however, I am not going to the gym, but instead am walking to center city from where I work, which is about a 1.5 mile walk. Maybe I will walk back too, if I'm feeling really ambitious and it's not too late.

Today I plan on swimming for an hr at the Y. Tomorrow will be weight training and Friday will be the elliptical and running. Maybe I will have Saturday off and have some wine. I know I will be pooped!:faint:

Ok, I feel like a complete wimp posting this after Tricia's mega workout post... but...

I did three minutes on the eliptical tonight, then 15 on the bikes, and then worked on my arms with the bands while Dawg did his arm, chest, back routine on various machines. Three minutes is a WoW for me! *laughs*

No worries, my dear. The good thing is - - you're exercising. That's all that matters. *BIG HUGS*

I slept almost all day. I must be exhausted.

I did tonight:

4 sets of 15 reps - bicept curls

4 sets of 15 reps - tricept curls

50 leg lifts each leg (dayum this flippin hurts like crazy) (5lbs leg weights I got today)

100 regular crunches

100 leg lifted twisting crunches

2 mile jog/run on treadmill with incline of 2.0 and mph range (3.5 - 5.0)

I just had a late dinner because I was at the movies at my regular dinner time. Anyway, once my food digests, I'm going to do the following:

2.5 miles on recumbant bike, 10 mph, pulse rate 130

500 leg lifts (250 each leg - combo of side, inner, back, front)

75 toe raises

75 bicep curls w/ 4lb. weight

75 tricep curls w/ 4lb. weight

100 lateral raises w/ 2lb. weight (ouch!)

I have been visiting your thread, but have not stopped in!

I have to tell you that everynight when I DON'T want to excersise I think of TellyMelly! She just pops in my head .... scarey, but true! Telly, you are so motivated and I so want to be, so, I am faking it until I make it!

So, last night when Telly was in my head.... I went for a 4 mile bike ride on the beach and a swim. Then I got back upstairs and ate a BIG bowl of icecream and then ate peanuts.!!!!!! UGH!!!!

It is a new day. I will excersise today! I will NOT have icecream!

I've been working out I swear Telly...and I'm losing, I have just been SO busy, I haven't touched the computer for a couple days. Just letting you know and I'm still on for the weekend challenge! Can't wait to see how you are doing.

I ran in my first fun run this morning! Its mothers day in Australia, I ran in the mothers day classic, the proceeds go to breast cancer research. I ran the 4km run in 29 minutes, my sister came down from Sydney to do it with me (even though she could have done in in Sydney) did the 8km in 38 minutes.

I'm hooked! Training for this run has kept me focussed and motivated and gotten me through that initial six weeks where you tend to drop out of execise programs. I'm doing my next race, a 5km on June 18, the "Run to the G" which goes from Federation Square in Melbourne to the MCG (our big cricket ground). Cant wait. Now I have a reason to train harder and add a kilometre to my distance.
