steri strips?

I am 9 days post op and my incisions were very itchy so i took them off. I only had the 2 big incisions with strips left. But was just wondering when do they usually fall off anyway? My skin is red and it sorta looks like a rash but i had to take them off it was just so itchy i think it was getting all kinda dirt under them.makin them.itchy but im going to call the dr in the morning

Oh yeah...you're allergic to the steri strips. I'm super allergic to them and within a couple hours have blisters. I had back surgery and they apparently didn't listen to me about the steri strips and by the next morning, I was a mess! I just tore them off and took an antihistimine for a few days to help with the crazy itching.

Ok thanks i tore them off today but they were fine until probably 2 days ago they started to get super itchy i couldnt take it no.more today. Im just wondering if i should get more put on though cause the one is closed but didnt seal back together

They told me to peel them off after a week as a lot of people will develop blisters under them. I didn't have problems with them, but I do react to bandaids.

I don't have a history of skin infections, but 9 days post op I developed a TERRIBLE rash from the steri strips. I put cortisone cream on it religiously, but it didn't get any better for 2 weeks. But, it does get better. :)

Thank you. The one incision didnt close right, didnt come back together but is healed if that makes sense? Is that ok?
