Back pain???

I'm just over 2 weeks post op. I also had a hiatal hernia repair during LB surgery. I'm having horrible upper back pain. By the end of the day my back is spasming. The dr told my husband my back may be sore because of the hernia repair...but still? Anyone else experience this? I'm also pretty sore at the port site. I think that is normal...everyone on here is so different.

Feeling blah! :-(

Sounds like you are just in the healing processes. Don't overdo, don't lift anything too heavy. Sitting too long, might give a problem, too! So, walk, but don't exercise. Best wishes, on your healing. Karen

Could be referred pain. Your body is hurting internally and manifests it as back pain usually around the left shoulder. It should pass. Also, try not to lift, or get up too often as that will cause your abdominal muscles to come into play making them sore where the port is.
