Should I demand Fluro?

Tomorrow I go in for my 6th fill, my last fill was hell and they hurt me trying to find the port. My concern is, I have not had an X-ray done since the day of my surgery 5 months ago. Should I demand a Fluro tomorrow during my appointment???

My suggestion would be yes...definately. Not sure demand is the word I'd use, but talk with your surgeon and find out why he/she hasn't suggested it yet? Possibly just a $$$ issue? Were your adjustments "included" in your surgery cost for say a year?

While it can certainly help accessing the port more easily, there are WAY MORE IMPORTANT reasons for using it.

I would ask for it also. My Doctor does one before, and one after each fill, it makes me feel better knowing all is well with my band.

Let us know how it goes.

I dont like blind fills, if it was part of your package at the time then I would say request one just to make sure that you have the right restriction before you leave.

My surgeon puts the needle in the port, and then has me move to the flouro machine. He then will adjust as need be, until I can drink the barium and have it go down quickly!

Thanks y'all for the advice. I do not get my fills done by my surgeon but at a different facility. I'll be asking for the Fluro at my appointment later this afternoon

So I finally got the Fluro done! It was good to "see" all is ok! Got a small fill this time .5cc which puts me at 9.5cc in a 14cc band. I've lost 10 lbs in 2 1/2 weeks which puts me at a total of 40 lbs lost since surgery in feb!
