Just wanted to start off with a quick hello!

My name is Felecia, and I am having my surgery June 6th. I am nervous, I am excited, I am terrified!

I am ready to start this journey as long as I don't think too much about it. When I start thinking about it I freak myself out, begin to have second thoughts, and generally freeze up like a deer in headlights.

Anyways please introduce yourself and feel free to talk about anything! From why you are doing this, fears, excitement, etc.

Mine is June 21st. I am so anxious....

Let me tell you this, its going to hurt, but its so worth it! The gas is what hurts the most, otherwise everything else is bearable. The gas though.... whew that is painful :/

Ok good to know. I am making a list of things to buy like gas-x and heating pads. How are you today?

I am doing pretty good my dear:) Thanks for asking. Still have gassy issues, but they are subsiding. I also has a hernia repair at the same time of my band, so I think the pain in the chest is also that. I am hanging in there though. I don't go for a visit till 07/24/2013 and not sure if I had a fill at surgery or not. I will have so many questions when I go back. I love this site, you all are so very helpful and supportive:)

Yes, it is a great resource! I just got a call from the Nurse and they finally got my ECG back so my surgery date is set for sure on the 21st of June..yikes!

Hi Everyone.

I banded Friday and am doing fine. Yeah the gas is no fun but Ive been walking to help it. Did this morning plan to again this afternoon. Im not in much pain other than that and NO am not medicated...lol . I honestly expected to feel worse than I do. The struggle I am having is that my husband and I have 6 kids....ages 14 to 21 and its summer....they are home from college....eating all day. I just am staying out of the kitchen. Eventually this will all get easier....just one day at a time. I got this.

Hi all. I couldn't find the posts at first either! I was banded on the 17th. It's back to work for me tomorrow. I'm still having quite a bit of incision pain but other than that I'm all right.

Hello everyone,

I had my surgery on June 27 and thought I was ready to go back to work this morning but I decided to stay home for two more days or so. I did have a Hernia repair at the same time and I have the chest pain that Judy is talking about, I feel like is gas from drinking that usually comes out as people burp, but I can not burp, it feels that the gas gets ready to come out but it can't and it is when it hurts and I have to start moving to let it move arround.

Will see how thing go; I don't see the Dr. until August 6.

I don't like the groups navigation either. It's a bit confusing.
