I'm scheduled for June 6 th! I have such an attachment to food, I'm so scared to fail. I just can't fail anymore.

I too am scared of failure!! I bet a lot of people on here would say the same thing. Most of us have tried and failed so many times before. We can do it!!! June 11th for me. So excited to begin this journey!!

Fear and doubt are normal at this stage. Best wishes to you both!

Dee21, I know we can do this. But I'm so ashamed that I've been eating like crap :( but at least I'm feeling more positive!!

Justaprettyface I'm in the same boat. Eating bad!! Like its the last time I'll be able to eat all my favorite unhealthy foods. Probably not the best way to go about things. I'm pretty much sick of fast food at this point. I'm ready to make the change and use this tool to help me change my bad eating habits. My Dr doesn't require a Pre op diet but I'm going to start eating less, taking small bites, lots of chewing, no drinking with meals etc. I'm the heaviest I've ever been :-( But it's time!! Time for me to be healthy!! Time for me to enjoy the outdoors and be comfortable in my skin. Keep in touch. I'd love to have a buddy who knows what I'm going through. Again...we CAN do this :-)

You can do it!!! Sending positive thoughts your way! :)

Ok one week to go! Doing good with my eating habits until I made a baked ziti - had two servings - but mentally I'm in a better place. Had to get the Pasta craving out of my system. Now I'm looking at foods differently. It's like a magnificent. I don't want to eat like I used to and I won't. I won't let anybody sabotage me as well.

I'm nervous because I have three children, And preparing meals may be difficult. So if anybody has any good ideas please share them.

I'm stocking my fridge with sugar-free Jell-O and Popsicles. I can't see how someone can eat chicken broth or any broth for one week straight. But I guess it's all doable.

I start my clear liquid diet next Wednesday.

How's your week going?

Good luck you can do it! :)

Hi, I am new and my surgery is Jun 21st. I am also scared, nervous, anxious and afraid of failing! It's nice to see we aren't alone in our thoughts. Good luck to you all. :)

I had my surgery on Tuesday. I'm feeling really good. Today Thursday just a little gas pain and where the incision is there's a little pain. I haven't been hungry. I have strong willpower. I will succeed at this. And you will too. I was so afraid of failing. I know it's only a few days into this but I have positive feelings. I was so anxious that the pain afterwards and diet afterwards would be horrible. It's not too bad at all. Stay focused and positive

That's awesome!! So happy your through the first stage...surgery. I'm right behind you on June 11th. I have the same concerns you did! Keep up the great work!!

Congrats! I am very happy for you.
