belly button infected????

i had a tt done on the 3rd and everything seems to be healing fine except last night i noticed that my belly button is ozing out white stuff and smelly plus it is burning this morning i am a worrier so i called last night to the surgeons office and he told me sometimes its harder to clean the belly button and to take a shower and then clean it with peroxide after my shower but i just wanted to know if anyone else thinks i should go in and get it checked out? does it sound like an infection?

call your doctor and document everything with pictures. I had one of my corners pop open. this was my fault for doing too much too fast.

But i text my doctor a picture of what was going on (yes he gave me his cell). He was at his son's game and texted me back that it look ok, but just in case he called in antibiotics and had me go in on the Monday.

It started out as a small hole and got bigger... but we let it heal from the inside out... and it's fine now.

When I first started losing weight I had a similar thing happen in my case it was just the skin had been "protected" so long it was easily inflamed by exposure to air. I just took extra care when bathing and eventually the inflammation and sensitivity went away.
