Eating out...FRUSTRATING!

So I have gone to Ruby Tuesday twice now since my surgery on April 5th. Even when I order from the Fit & Trim menu and stay well within my calorie goal for the day I have gone up a pound or more and it takes 3 days to get it off again. I don't get it! Maybe it's the salt content??? It's so not worth going out to eat. I definitely prefer to cook at home and know exactly what I am eating. Has anyone else had this same issue?

  • Restaurant food is high in sodium so you're just retaining water.

You could stay home to eat, or you could eat out and STAY OFF THE scale.LOL I eat out all the time, but I don't let the scale get me down.

  • I agree with tmf; Water weight. Are you getting all of your water in? That will help to flush out the water retention.

I hardly ever eat out. It's just not worth the extra junk and calories to me, no matter how healthy I try to choose from the menu. But I'm a shrimpo with a slow metabolism, so I have to really watch the calories. I don't think I'd have been as successful if I'd been eating out or eating any kind of normal food (just smaller quantities).
