I was on Clear Liquids for 3 days, 2 of the days really didn't count cause I was not hungry at all and I slept most the time. Was on purées on the 4th day..every surgeon has their own directions on what and when you can eat, I'm on soft foods now. 3 days clear liquids 1 week purées 2 weeks soft foods, then regulars. I'm sure you'll be ok. As long as you follow what YOUR doc tells you. :) best wishes on your journey!!

Surgery was monday for me, I am on liquids for a week. Get to start pureed on Monday. Each week I get to add something a little new. Excited, yet nervous!

I was allowed puréed foods the day after surgery! Lol I thought it was very fast and didn't actually have any until day 3 (1/2 cup 1 meal). He told me if I didn't feel ready to just stay on liquids, but make sure to stay hydrated! So you aren't alone, some docs move through food stages much faster.

For me Day 1 was clear liquids. Weeks 1-3 are all liquids. Week 4 is mushy foods. I am on Day 4 and it is already hard, but I can do it!

Yes you can!!

I was on clear liquids once released to go home for two days and then full liquids for two weeks. I didn't make it. By day six i started on pureed food (Chicken salad) because i needed something to stop the nonstop diahhrea that i had for four days.

I only ate small portions of 1/4 cup or less at the most but it helped tremendously. I also added bean with bacon Soup.

Every surgeon is different and you should follow your surgeons orders...But you also need to listen to you're own body.
