between the 2 wks pre-op diet and 3 weeks post-op I lost 35 lbs

I'm going on 7 wks post op and I lost about 15 lbs from two weeks pre op until my 5 wk check up and first fill. Now I'm about 19-21 lbs at 7 weeks.

I'm not sure why I've not lost as much as others but I'm following the rules. I'm happy so far but ready to drop a size. I log everything in MFP and stay around 1000 calories. That's the only rule I don't follow. My paperwork says 1500 but I wasn't losing until I dropped to 1000. I'm slowly getting more days of walking in. I'm only doing it 2-3 days @ 2 miles. I know I need more.

Great topic to see what other are losing and maybe what they are doing to help it along.

I've lost 12lbs in the first week, my doctor told me not to count calories to stay away from carbs and I've been doing that I'm so worried ill b one of the people who only lose a total of 30 and stop

I've lost 18 so far and Thursday will be three weeks from my surgery date.

I was banded 4 weeks ago and I have lost 20 pounds 18 pounds at my 2 week post op appt and only 2 pounds last week (but I did have foot surgery 10 days ago leaving me immobile) I go for my first fill next week thank god I am starting to feel hungry again....good luck to you!!

I am 6 weeks out and down 25 lbs. I wanted to know how many calories do you allow yourself? Also, I am getting a ton of protein in ....is there such thing as too much being bad ?

My doctor said to not count calories to just stay away from carbs but its only been one week for me and I'm already feeling hungry I'm kinda worried i could be one of the people this doesn't work for..I start mushy food tomorrow I hope that helps with my hunger

I've been very fortunate, I've lost 24 lbs. (10 pre op 14 post op) my surgery was 2 weeks ago and my dr had me integrate solids after 1 week and I had my post op appt today and he gave me a 3cc fill. I am on liquids for today but can move on tomorrow.

Wow I went to the doc yesterday and don't go back until the 30th one month later I'm already prepared to ask for a fill... I get solids Saturday and I'm not sure if I'm hungry or just miss the way food taste because everyone around me is eating normal and....this is sad but it's like I'm jealous I want to lose weight this is what I want and I can do it but it would be easier if u felt like I did the first 4 days...not hungry lol

I lost 5 pounds prior to my two week high protein diet. I'm now three weeks post op and have lost a total of 29 pounds . I'll be going for my first fill on June 7th.

I lost a lot my first month, 43 pounds. But I also had a lot to lose and didn't have a pre-op diet either. I also think a big reason I've always consistently lost is because I've counted calories religiously since the day I got home from the hospital.
