1day post op

24 hrs since operation. Not feeling too hot. Lots of incision pain at the bellybutton. Sipping water every so often but gas pain is bothersome. Any remedies?

drink, walk , heating pad and take your pain meds... also make sure in a few days if you haven't had a bm take a laxative, milk of mag worked for me.. otherwise get plenty of rest , don't worry about anything else but healing.. it does get better just takes time...

I was banded on Monday. I too am having a lot of bloating and gas. Ive taken mylicon but just seems like gas wont move. I haven't taken any pain meds but gave in and took some a few minutes ago. I don't "hurt" im just very sore

Lots of people take gasx for the gas but the CO2 is placed in the abdominal cavity not into the intestines so I dont see how the gasx remedies would work. What worked for me was walking....movement gets the gas moving and I had very little discomfort from the CO2.
