How soon can you start working on your abs

I would like to start a boot camp class, but I am unsure if it is to early for me to work on my abs. I had my surgery on March 11,2012 and wonder if it is to early to start doing sit ups.

  • Ask your doc, not everyone is the same. He/ she is looking at you, monitoring your healing progression. Exciting that you are fired up to do it!

Thank you for catching the year , yes I meant 2013, LOL. yes I will be making a call to the doctor to get confirmation, but I am sure it is ok by now.

My doc said 12 weeks before I could start abs.

my doc said 6 weeks... call yours!

Talked with my doctor and he said after 6 weeks. Cheznoel, you were right on the money, but like everyone suggested, it is best to confirm with your doctor. So...since my surgery was done on March 11, this week is my six week post op :)
