No pre op diet

My wife and I are both going for the lap band and I see a lot of people talk about a pre op diet so I called my dr and he said no need to do a per op diet ........... Anyone else didn't need to do this

Yep I was told I didn't need to do one as my BMI was 35 at the time of my op. But I did a modified one anyway (with the agreement from my dr). I was concerned about having a fatty liver so I was being cautious. But if your dr isn't concerned, I'd say not to worry about it.

My dr doesnt make his patients do one either. :)

Mine asked me to eat pureed or soup the day before and stop eating at 6 pm.
