When Can I Exercise?

I have read and can't seem to find anything about when it is safe to exercise. I read a post saying no abdominal exercises for 3 months.

What has your Dr. told you about exercise?

Thanks for all your help.

3 mos??? No, that is ridiculous. My doc said just don't do any ab exercises for 4-6 weeks. And, you can start exercising as soon as you feel better (ie. walking etc)....even just after a few days/a week. Just be careful with heavy lifting and don't do any crunches for 4-6 weeks!!

My doctor said no strenuous exericse for the first 10 days (other then walking). Then to listen to my body... if it hurts, don't do it.

I haven't done abs yet (10 weeks out), because it still hurts when I do 1 crunch. At 12 weeks I'll push through the pain, I think. Until then, I'm taking it easy & just doing other aerobic stuff. :bananadoggywow:
