Hi everyone! I'm new here and was hoping to get some thoughts on a few things. I got the band with plication on 12/6/12. So far I have lost 31 pounds, but most of that was liquid diet before the surgery and right after surgery. Basically I have been losing and regaining the same 3 pounds over and over for the past 2 months. I am eating right...1200-1400 calories per day and walking for 30 minutes everyday. I feel like I have been trying really hard and am not getting results which is really frustrating me. I just got a pretty big fill last week, so I'm hoping that will help...but I'm just wondering if this is normal? I am so discouraged!

The PA gave me my fill last week. She said that since I had very little Fluid in my band she was surprised that I hadn't gained weight. I'm really hoping the whopping fill she gave me will help! I lost 3 pounds on liquids right after the fill but as soon as I started eating again I gained 2 back. Someday it has to budge!

Are you getting enough Protein? You could try breaking from your current routine - adding a higher intensity workout or lowering calories.

It's easy to eat more calories than we realize if we don't track everything including the bites, licks and tastes.

Hope you figure it out!

But if you're staying between 1200-1400 calories a day, how much Fluid that is in your band is irrelevant. The band doesn't make you lose weight, burning more calories than you consume is what makes you lose weight. The band is there to help control your appetite.

Being as you're already monitoring calories and not losing, I really think it's important you see your primary care doctor and get a full physical and blood work up to make sure there isn't something medical stopping you from losing weight.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
