Perfectly normal. You have no saline in your band so the opening(stoma) is quite large. This allows all fluids and even most regular food to just flow right through to your stomach. tmf

I've had two fills and can still take big drinks of water no problem. If its not causing you any trouble then I wouldn't worry.

I don't know the correct answer I was just told to sip liquids though, hopefully someone else can give you a more definite answer.

...to be able to drink a bottle of water in about 5 mins 10 days post banding? I've always loved water but there's this part of me that thinks I shouldn't be able to do this anymore...but than I also think there's nothing in my band yet so of course I should be able to do this? Which answer is right? I don't want to screw anything up! Nothing in my paperwork from my Drs office says anything about how fast you can/can't drink liquids, just to not do it they a straw, HELP!!
