Crushing pills

Hey! My surgery is April 19th. My doctor has instructed me to start crushing my meds (diabetes and high blood pressure). Any suggestions? The taste is awful and I've had a hard time. Thanks!

I never had any problems with medications. I just took them one by one and waited a few minutes in between. Also if it was me, I would check with pharmacist to make sure all the pills can be crushed.

Check with your primary care doc to see if these meds are available in liquid form?

What meds are you on? My husband has diabetes type 2 and high blood pressure also and was told to NEVER crush his meds. They said the one for high blood pressure if crushed could cause a stroke! Just curious what you take??

I asked the pharmacist, only one cannot be crushed. The ins makes me refill in 90 day supply so I wanted to use the pills I have.

FYI-I'm on day 5 of post banded life, I too am on blood pressure medicine, I can swallow it without any problems. I'm also on a pretty good sized vitamin pill also can swallow without any issues & the Vicodin for pain also can swallow that without any proems!

4 days post op and swallow my blood pressure pill as well. No problems. I tried crushing, but that was disgusting.
