It's common to have hair loss after any surgery, it's not specifically because of the Lap Band. It's the drugs they give you for the anesthetic that causes it.

Taking Biotin both before and after surgery can help minimize it.

Many people report hair loss. As Missy said it is partially due to the anesthesia, it can also occur if people lose weight too fast. I lost hair but it is all back now. Another supplement reported to help is B50. Good luck!

You can also loss your hair for the lack of protein. So it's super important to get the protein in.
