Yes it is normal!! I was starving after my surgery, mushy food week is like a little piece of heaven.

well of course,,,you just had major surgery so it is gonna be uncomfortable...use the pain meds to help if you want too...as the swelling subsides, your hunger will come back, mie sure did and i counted the minutes til i ate 2 oz of runny a ss oatmeal after 4 1/2 weeks of liquids.....i will remember that always

Had surgery yesterday and the pain at my port site feels like something is pulling and tearing. It takes my breath and stops me dead in my tracks. Please tell me that's normal....

That's exactly what my port site felt like a couple of days after surgery...especially trying to get out of bed in the morning. It'll get better. I used to try to kind of hold it in if I had to bend over or anything.

My pain is intense and i didn't know it would be like this i wear a binder because it helps me move better. I am 9 days post opt doctor called in more meds to help me.

If you feel like any pain or sensations aren't normal or make you nervous, call your surgeon. He can tell you whether what you're experiencing is normal or if you should come into the office so he/she can take a look. It will get better...hang in there. :)
