Incisions...

Hey guys!! I was banded on 2/11 so my incisions are still in the healing process however are your incisions a little puffy, meaning I can run my finger over my shirt and can feel them sticking out a little.. Will they go down? Or is something wrong? They have been a little itchy but I've been doing everything in attempt not to scratch them..

yep that was pretty normal for me. My incisions were 'swollen' for a while so I could feel them. But mine did settle, though not everyone's does flatten out completely.

Hey Kristen,

I was banded the same day as you :), and I am pretty sure this is normal, because mine are the same way and also itchy!! My surgeon removed the glue from them yesterday, so he saw them and said they looked great!

Yay Miss V!! We are band sisters!! And I'm glad that I'm not the only one.. How are you feeling? I went back to work Monday and its been good but I've been super tired...

Hey!! Its exciting to have a band-sister!! Yesterday and today, I feel "normal", it was a rough 4 days after surgery, I didn't get out of bed except to walk, I slept so much!! I actually went out by myself today (big step), I know being super tired all to well, I wish that part would fade away quickly!

I know I'm so with you! Such an exciting change for us.. I have lost about 5 more pounds since surgery but I'm also kind of afraid to eat. Haven't eaten much.. Saw my dr. and he told me to get my protein in. Are you having a hard time eating? Are you hungry yet? I'm just excited about eating mashed potatoes on Friday! Lol!

:) I have lost 9 lbs....yes my Dr. is huge about protein and FIBER!! He preaches FIBER!! I am not really afraid to eat, I just dont know when I am eating to much, I am on full liquids now and will switch to mushies/soft foods next Monday and I am soo looking forward to eating food, also scared too but more excited! Mush sounds almost gourmet to me now...because yes I am HUNGRY!

You mean what have I been DRINKING lol! MMM Broth (my husband makes an amazing hungarian mushroom soup that is mostly broth, so thats what I am having now, tea, juice, yogurt, I tried cream of wheat (ewwwwwww), G2,popcicles I am trying to get some protein shakes its, I am just not a fan though!

Fiber helps you stay full, its kind of crazy I really thought I knew a lot about nutrition but apparently not!

Not trying to scare you or anything, but sometimes a scar can be keloid. I have one in the very center of my stomach from when I had my gallbladder removed on 2009. It's not horrible & I have gotten used to it, but I obviously wish is wasn't keloid.

Lol!! I am so tired of soup, soup, and soup!! That first bite of mashed potatoes is going to be heaven!!! I'm planning on eating refried beans also!! Yummy!! It's the little things.. And that soup your hubby makes sounds amazing! How many weeks are you on mushy/ soft foods? I have my first fill on March 18th so it's right around the corner!! You're Prob around the same time?

Yep I have a keloid scar where I had my two revision incisions done (same place, through my old body lift scar) and it's not pretty. That's what I meant when I mentioned that not everyone's scars flatten. :P

Way to freak us out Jami.... :P

Yes I am tired of soup too, but I was excited to eat this tonight! Yes, I never thought I would be so excited to eat mushy food! And I love refried Beans, I really love mexican!! And it is the little things, I just told a girlfriend the same things today!! The soup is pretty amazing, if you want the recipe I will send it to you! I am on soft/mushy's for 2 weeks starting Monday, and I just found out my first fill is March 25th...I am scared to death for the fill....lol
