Eating After Adjustment!

I am post-op surgery October 12, 2012. I just had my second fluid remevol within 2 weeks today. I am not able to hold any fluid or food down. My doctor says I may possibly have a slippage and have to get a swallow test. I was also told possible surgery and have it put back into place. Does anyone know how the slippage is possible? I forgot to ask my doctor about this and what are my options. I also need to know how soon after the removal of fluid can I eat solid food. So far I have not eaten and I am afraid if I try I will vomit. Please help!

A lot of things can cause a slip. Vomiting, over eating, carbonation, letting your band be too tight, etc. It could also just be a rare fluke.

The most common cause of slips are bands that are too tight.

Usually I am allowed to eat immediately after an unfill, but you'll have to ask your doctor what his instructions are to be sure. Especially since you may be dealing with a slip.

Best wishes.
