6 days post op -19 lbs!!

I'm 6 days post op. This is my last day of liquids and I just weighed myself for the 1st time since the surgery. I've lost 19lbs! How is that possible??? Is that even safe? I know I've only been on liquids and most of that is water weight but I'm a little concerned. Should I be? Has this happened to anyone else? I'm calling my Dr. today so I can advance my diet. I will def discuss with him.

That can happen and intitally I wouldn't say that it's not safe. The weight loss should slow down and if it doesn't then you should probably mention it to your doctor.

I had my surgery last Wednesday and I'm down 16.5 lbs already. I called yesterday and asked if this was normal and they said it was fine. I'm wondering if I can be on mushy food earlier than next week? Has anyone started early on it?
