Day 4 Pre-op Dr Visit Update

Feeling pretty good today. Maybe about 65% better!

Visited the doc today. Everything is looking good. I learned that I have the "standard band" placed not a large one. He gave me an RX for my thrush (from antibiotics and dehydration after surgery). I can start FULL liquids on Thursday. This is BIG for me as I have been on a clear liquid and Protein shake diet since January 23rd!! Adding in runny oatmeal for Breakfast and drinkable yogurt will be huge for me!!

I started the pre-op diet on Jan 23 at 236

Today I weighed in at 216

I know.....wow! :)

Hope everyone is having a great day?

Ooppss...sorry. That was Day 4 POST OP Update...sorry!

So glad that your feeling better! Once you get rid of that thrush you will probably feel like a new woman! It's funny how that pre-op and post-op diet gives you a new found respect and excitement for solid or semi-solid food! During this time I started liking foods I had never liked before just because it had some texture and substance. Runny oatmeal was a delicacy! Your doing great, keep up the good work, can't wait to hear your back to 100%.

Thank you so much! Your right about the respect for food. How unappreciative of food I was when I was shoveling in like there was no tomorrow! Everything tastes better. They gave me apple juice in the hospital and you would have thought it was the best damn apple juice anyone ever made or offered me.....I look forward to savoring and enjoying food again (or maybe ever). I to continue that love affair but on a healthier octave and with so much more respect and appreciation!
