I think if your surgeon felt that would help you or was necessary he/she would have suggested that. Please go see your pcp. :) Maybe you have strep or something and need some antibiotics.

    Ok crying i called lb dr n demanded to see surgeon tmrw im praying my band aint slip n its because of the violent coughing i had she was like u wouldnt beable to swallow or keep anything down or you would be throwing i just know its uncomfortable no pain jus a lil feeling of something sitting in throat n me seeing that is scary
