Yes, my insurance said I have to pay a $5000 deductible...

1300 for surgeon fee,

750 for my deductible,

And 2000 for anesthesiologist.

I'm new. I've been looking into receiving the lap band from true results. I have Cigna insurance and my deductible is 500 and they cover 70% so excited but still not sure how much out if pocket I will have to pay. I'm sure they will work out payment plan but I'm not sure. I need 3 more appointments for insurance reasons

Ask the surgery center to calculate the costs for you up front. Last September, I was hit with a $4000 bill 3 days before the surgery for various expenses the insurance would not cover. I had to postpone the surgery until this month because I didn't have the money. So do this beforehand.

Thank you. I want this surgery do bad,but want to make sure I'm financially ready for it. My insurance covers 70% but I'm hearing a lot of feedback on how much I will have to pay. How much up front? If I can make payment. True results is where I'm going. They are sending a study kit fed ex tomorrow. It's to check for sleep apnea ??
