Actually....mine is scheduled for Feb 7th. Thanks for the update!

Are you guys all required to do the 2 week liquid preop? I was told I have to eat low fat and low carb for a week prior but I think I may try to do the protein shakes instead to get started. If everyone else can do it for 2 weeks prior then I should be able to manage 1 week... :)

I have to drink protein shakes and eat low carb for 10 days.

Danielle - My doc does a 7 week liquid diet, specifically to get the liver less fatty so she can maneuver it during surgery.

I have to do a 10 day liquid diet....7 days of "creamy liquids" and the last 3 are all clear liquids...oh boy ;)

Yes. I started my Protein Shakes (pre op diet-2 weeks) today! The first few days are the hardest (I did this last September when I had my original surgery date but found out that insurance only paid half at the last minute and couldn't afford it.)

I survived it the first time.....I will survive it this time. By no means is it a walk in the park...but each day does seem to get easier.

:)

You guys are inspriring me!! I think I will go home from work and have a protein shake! I had a soup and a small wrap for lunch and an egg this morning. I guess I will slowly work into all protein shakes before surgery. I am SO EXCITED - next Fri cannot come soon enough. I can't wait to get back and tell you all how it went!

I'm having my last pre-op meeting with the surgeon tomorrow and hopefully getting a date.

Mine is Feb 5th!!! I'm on my 2 week protein diet too, but the doctor did say I could eat some chicken or fish if I need too. It's been tough, but not as tough as I anticipated. :-)

Mine is Feb 6th!! I start my 2 week liquid diet on Sunday Jan 26th.

My date is Feb.5th and I can't wait!!!!!! I have been on my pre op diet since Tuesday....really hasn't been to to bad just at night my stomach makes crazy loud sounds....I just keep reminding myself to keep my eye on the prize!!!! Looking forward to shopping for clothes at regular stores.

My surgery is Feb 6th. I have a 10 day full liquid diet.

I'm scheduled for Feb 6th! On day 3 of 14 preop diet.. 3 shakes a day is not easy but there's no way I won't do it!!

Saw my surgeon today for a pre-op visit. I got my insurance approval and date as an added bonus. I'll be banded on February 4th.
