Water

Starting today my goal is a gallon of water a day. Is that realistic once banded?

I think 2 liters is about the normal recommended after banding. You might find it difficult to drink (in sips) any more than that and still have room for food (and not drink 30-60 minutes before or after meals). I've always been a big drinker. (wait, that sounded bad... I mean WATER. LOL) I had to actually cut back after the band and teach myself to sip and not gulp.

Girl good luck on that.lol. It is all I can do just to get 64oz down. I could drink at least 64oz a day before the band because I love water. But since the band I am having a hard time trying to get all of my water down. But I am trying to work my way to get at least 64oz. Because when I drink big gulps or drink to fast it is very painful at least for me it is. But go easy and just try to work your way to at least 64oz. Good luck.

I also used to drink a gallon a day pre band but not anymore. You're right...between no drinking 30 minutes and 60 minutes before/after meals and no gulping. I can't imagine getting a gallon down now. I finally got to the point that I can do the 64 though and for now I'm happy with that.

Wow ok! I was reading somewhere else, though I forget where and they said at least a gallon. 64oz works for me because I get so busy it's hard to drink water let alone drink anything!
