Is it normal?

I am 4wks post op and have lost 22lbs. People say they can see it in my face and they really can tell. However I dnt see it at all. I know the scale is going down but I think I'm mentally having trouble believing it. I have been thinking my battery in my scale is going bad. However it's brand new. Is it normal to feel this way!

I think so. In the past when I lost a great deal of weight I had great difficulty accepting it because I had been overweight for so long. I kept checking the tag sizes on my clothing in the closet. When someone called me small and my husband said I was getting bony, I thought they were all crazy. I finally had someone take some photos of me so I could see what I really looked like. The real shocker was when I put on an old pair of jeans. I looked like Jared in his after photos. I actually sat down and cried that I had been so large before and hadn't realized it. Now that I have gained almost all of my weight back, I refuse to have my photo taken because I know how big I am and I am totally disgusted with myself.

Oh yeah, that's what I'm going through right now! I'm always thinking that after not leaving the house for three weeks, no one is going to notice!
