Aetna ppo

Trying to get approved for my sleep study in lab and they rejected me. I am going to be having an at home sleep study. Does anyone know the differences in diagnosing sleep problems between the both?

I've never heard of a "home sleep study" before. I would think there is a significant difference in how you are monitored, however I am no expert.

I've dealt with Aetna and their "approval boards" many times though the years. Did you consider having your physician or yourself appeal the decision? I've had positive outcomes when an appeal was filed.

Good luck...

Well my doctor had a peer to peer review and they said most people with Aetna are going to start to have at home studies. It is much cheaper then at a lab.
