Jan 10 Date

Hello my date is Jan 10. I am excited and very scared. I hope that everything goes well. I was wondering to all you folks who have been banded, if you were to offer one piece of advice for after surgery, what would it be? Also, any one from Connecticut and if so who is your doctor? Can someone to me what sliming is and how to avoid it?

Most important advise is "Follow your Drs orders"!!!!!

Sliming is when you get food stuck and it won't go through your band and your saliva starts building up to try and force it threw.

How to avoid sliming, don't get stuck, which means chewing everything to mush and taking very small bites.

BTW, Congratulations on getting a date! Excitement & nerves are all a part of it.

Learn all you can about LBS before you're banded and this is a good place for that.

Best Wishes!
