I Need Some Advice.

Just had my first fill 3 weeks ago. I do feel some restriction. But I really don't feel like I have a lap band. I haven't lost any more weight. I lost more doing my pre-op diet than actually with the band. I was at 250 beginning of pre-op, 236 surgery day. And now 222, 2 months post op. I know the weight isn't just gonna fall off, but I WANT MORE RESTRICTION! I am at a 5.3 with a 10 band. How much did you have in yours when you were content?

Some people feel restriction with no fill, some need much more. It is different with every person. I was up to 5 cc last week (after my 3rd fill) and had to go this morning to get 1/2 cc taken out as I couldn't get anything more than liquids down.

Even without restriction or full restriction it is very important to be aware of what and how much you are eating. Are you keeping calories under 1200? Are you eating less than a cup of food per serving and are you getting any exercise?

I am not trying to interrogate or berate you, just trying to see why you are not losing. I have been trying to follow these guidelines and trust me, I have a treat here or there and I have been losing fairly consistently 2 lbs per week. I have been walking and started doing zumba too.

Good luck to you!!! It will come. :)

Actually, I just reread your post and it looks like you are losing almost 2 lbs per week which is good and normal. It looks like you are on track.

I felt good restiction at about 4-5ccs.... but everyone is different do you cannot go by others on this one. SInce you are averaging 2 lbs each week thats pretty on par. If you are monitoring your portions, satisfied not to eat more than 4 hrs apart and keeping your calories down... you are doing everything right. Just keep at it. The weight will continue to fall off.

If you arent tracking your calories or portions... start. You will lose more.

Hi:)

Ur situation sounds similar to mine. I lost more pre-surgery than have since surgery. But if I think it all through..its OK.

3-27-12 start my journey 223.5

8-15-12 surgery 201

11-6-12 2nd fill 188

Slow but losing and that's just fine. Chin up, stick to the rules from your surgeon. You'll do great. Good luck !!! :D

Ok so let me understand this, you are unhappy because you lost 28 lbs in 2 1/2 months? Are you realizing how amazing THAT IS?
