Blockage!

I have had my band for about 2 1/2 years now. I don't have insurance so it was paid for out of pocket. I have been having lots of problems for last couple of months. I am losing about 1 to 2 lbs a day. My band is empty and I have a blockage. I am unable to keep anything down. I saw my dr yesterday and he pretty washed his hands of me since I don't have any insurance. He told me to take myself to an ER to get some IV because I am dehydrated and hopefully they can help me.

Posting on behalf of my sister Krismo83!

Her surgery has been rescheduled for tomorrow. Her dr had an emergency surgery at another hospital. :(

How long has she been losing 1-2 pounds per day? Unbelievable that this is happening in Beverley hills, California.emphasis on the unbelievable part.

If you were losing 1-2 pounds per day for " a couple of months", that would be around 60 pounds ?

Doctor who sees you for two visits in the same week and then says go away , you have no insurance?Something is not right?

Were you self-pay? If you paid everything up front, what was the aftercare supposed to be/cover?

Aftercare is so important.

Wouldn't you be considered an emergency surgery? If this is a blockage?

Doesn't this hospital have other surgeons?

I think there is something else going on in this very bizarre situation.

Call an attorney, even an ambulance chaser can handle this stupidity. Ask for a hospital advocate.

This is ludicrous!

Posting on behalf of my sister Krismo83! This whole situation is exactly that UNBELIEVABLE! Her drs washed their hands of her and told her to go to a county hospital because she has no insurance.

Update: My sister had her surgery this morning and is now in recovery. They removed the band.

bogus and unbelievable.the lawyers will have a field day with this case......and maybe a movie producer or book author.... at the very least an expose in the newspaper. Beverley Hills... hmmmm.

To those of you who prayed for my sister I would like to say Thank you! Her band was removed this morning and the blockage is gone. She was able to keep down a cup if Water tonight and she said it was great to feel it go down.

To those of you who are doubting that what my sister has gone through is true or not. It is 100% true!

Glad to hear your sister is doing well :)
