Starbucks

Ok. I am 8 days post op. I have a stupid question. When can I have Starbucks again? Pumpkin spice is calling my name!

Unless your doctor said otherwise, whenever you want, as it's a liquid.

However, just a small Pumpkin Spice Latte is 380 calories. Unfortunately, that is the case with all those flavored coffee drinks. So if you do get one, be sure to be mindful of the calories and how they may effect you.

(btw, I love those types of coffee drinks too. I still have one as a treat once in awhile)

Since I am not a coffee drinker I didnt know what a Pumpkin Spices was.... then I read your post and about fell over. 380 calories in one drink? OMG its a good think I dont like coffee. :o

I'll order a light frappachino once in a while, not bad for around 110 calories!

Starbucks does not offer a Skinny Pumpkin Spice latte but it does offer other flavored lattes in the skinny option. Another option is to go for FF milk and no whip which brings calories in a grande size to 260 (Tall is 200) with only 5 fat cals. I had also started asking them for half the pumps of the pumpkin spice to reduce the sugar down before I gave up this lovely drink.

I have now happily replaced my morning frappe with my new Protein shake:

I use 1 scoop of Click Espresso Protein shake (Mocha or vanilla Latte) with two scoop of EAS Lean chocolate Fudge (as it is higher in fiber) blended FF milk and 4-6 cubes of ice. Under 250 cals, low carb and 22 gm protein. I ended up adding an extra scoop as these shakes have 15 g protein per serving and I do like my morning shake a little thicker.

2 scoops of Click contain 2 espresso shots so I manage my coffee fix as well in the morning.

OMG I don't drink coffee but I LOVE the smell of it! Isnt that crazy!

I buy coffee scented candles with flavors like pumpkin, hazlenuts, and vanilla to make my house smell wonderful! LOL

I am going on 5 yrs with my band and as much as I like those flavored coffees I stay away..I have kept off 230 lbs and don't want to gain any and those delicious drinks are to tempting..

Brew your own! Get some McCormick pumpkin spices, fresh umpkin pulp (like that canned stuff- just a tablespoon or two) splenda or stevia and light silk. Blend and viola! Home made, yummy and a fraction of the cal!

You know...Dunkin Donuts is selling bags of ground Pumpkin Spice coffee, for a limited time. If you brew it at home, you can add or not add what you want, controlling your intake. I have it, it's great!

I am addicted to the pumpkin fraps... i learned to make my own. You can get the pumpkin spice flavor syrup at Target. I drink vanilla protein shakes, so i will empty one into the blender, pour a few shots of the coffee syrup ( any flavor), a packet of the instant starbuck coffee ( or any instant but i prefer starbucks) throw some ice cubes in and blend. It is awesome and cheaper. If you dont like it cold just nuke it on the microwave for a few minutes. I get my protein and i get my pumpkin spice frap!
