Too Tight?

How does someone all of a sudden become to tight? I hear that said alot and I'm confused why this happens all of a sudden to some people.

  • My band recently became too tight out of nowhere! I had a fill in May and became tight in August. I had 0.5cc removed with immediate relief. Went a week and a half and became tigh again, but this time

  • I don't really know, but I have days where I can just tell I am too tight. I think hormones play a part. I have heard of people who all of a sudden become too tight and have to have fluid removed.

Changes in altitude can make your band too tight. I know when I fly, my band is extremely tight for about a week before it calms down again.

Makes me feel better to read this post bc I definitely know I need fluid taken out. I was always wondering why somedays I could eat normally and other days I would only get a few bites down before pbing. I've been going thru an episode since lunchtime yesterday. I ate shrimp in my salad and I think that did it. Nothing else has been settling right and for the first time last night, reflux woke me up. All day today nothing has gone down without a sense of tightness or pain. Even liquid is bothering me. I'm going to do sone warm broth tomorrow but def calling first thing about getting fluid removed!!!! Can't take this anymore :(

I was just thinking this weekend that I need to have some removed too. I had BAD PBing every time I would eat all weekend. Had acid reflux for the first time saturday night, which was HORRIBLE. I have been eating about 4 bites before I PB. Yesterday all I could get down was 2 protein shakes all day!

I'm having the same problem and know it's stress. My little out had her adenoids out on Thursday and tubes put in. I could barely get liquid to go down that day. Things are improving- slowly. I'm going to give it a few more days before I call my doc.

Bluetigereyes- I had 2 fills removed today and feel soooooooo much better!!! I'll keep u posted how it goes once I eat solid foods. I'm sticking with liquids for the rest of the night, soft foods tomorrow, and solids on Wednesday

Feeling amaaaaaaazing since Monday. It's crazy how much unfilling the band a bit worked! I can't believe I went for so many month with it obviously way too tight!!!!
